If you've been looking at the types of items we've got in our sample inventory then you might have realised that we've based our sample on the kind of things you might use if you needed to build or service lawn-mowers. We're now going to show you the 'Parts-List Manager' and we had to decide what kind of parts to use as a sample. The program might be used by all kinds of companies from complex electronics assembly contractors through to somebody who needs to package a diverse selection of toy building blocks into a retail boxed kit. We wanted to select something that we'd all understand. (We know how popular lawn-mowers are.... :o)

On the following pages we'll show how easy it is to manipulate and arrange our inventory into a tidy list. A list showing every item, every body and engine part down to the smallest lock-nut and washer and then tell us with a single mouse click what components and materials we need need to build our product.
