Sorting the list is simple. Click any Column Header and the list is instantly re-arranged in alpha-numerical order based on that column

You can also 'Group' Similar items.

To 'Group By' you simply click and drag any column header into the shaded grey area near the top of the window.

When grouped the list instantly re-arranges itself in tidy groups based on whatever column was selected. In the above example we grouped on the Category. Maybe we're looking for some nuts and bolts and wanted to see what types we had on the shelf.. All inventory control systems offer a search facility where you'd type in search criteria. We find that this 'Group By' capability is much quicker especially when you're not quite sure what you're looking for.

Of course we offer simple search as well. You can't see it on the screen above but there's search boxes for part number and description and as you type the list is redrawn with every keypress eliminating all non-matching records meaning you don't need to type a whole partnumber or description to narrow down the list to just the record or records you want to see.
